Pleated skirt revival

In the 90’s, my mom had a friend whose mother was an unconditional fan of pleated skirts. To me, such type of skirt has always been the symbol of (stylish) grandmothers. At that time, I would have never imagined that it would become a fashionable piece of clothing for young women. And yet, the pleated skirt has managed to turn itself into a trendy thing. Worse, it seems like it is here to last and isn’t far from becoming a fashionista must-have. Even worse, I am now a big fan as well ! (Did I turn myself into a 27 yo grandmother ?)

I started by acquiring a burgundy one : low-profile enough so that I didn’t take to many risks at a time, but fun enough to satisfy my “I don’t dress like the others” concern. Wearable in winter and summer as well. It turns out, it’s one of my favourite skirt now, whether it is for fancy occasions or just a casual day at work.

Time to replicate now, and dare a more foolish version of the pleated skirt like one of these below !

Let it shine with silver and gold versions :
